Robert Kennedy Presidential Campaign
Senator Robert F. Kennedy launches his presidential campaign with speeches at The University of Kansas and Kansas State University. Classes were cancelled to enable students to attend his appearance, during which he spoke about issues such as student protests and the Vietnam War. Kennedy was assassinated only weeks later.
